These songs share little in common except that they both read like a roadmap to my dream mind. The latter, an untitled improvisation, is sloppy – off-rhythm, occasionally atonal. And that’s just fine. I have vague memories of being very sick when I recorded that one and at one point actually falling asleep in the middle of tracking. I think of it more as a tone poem than a song. The first song, Theme for a Mythic Transformation, was evidently a procrastination piece. It’s name indicates that it was written during the acquisition of my Masters in Mythology (when I should have been writing a paper or two).
